HANDBAG CARE

Leather bags:

Leather is a natural product and can be very durable when treated and maintained correctly. Our handbags are made with premium leather made in generation-old factories and developed with high quality products for a  premium finish and color.
We run more than 10 different wear and tear tests to ensure our leather products have a long life. Leather needs care for a long lasting life. If you aren’t sure what to do with your bag to keep on shining like day 1, take it to a professional leather cleaner.

- Store your handbag in a dustbag when not in use.
- Make sure there is no direct sunlight to your handbag since this could affect the    color of your bag and eventually dry it.
- Avoid water. If it rains on your bag let it dry first. After it’s dry, use a damp cloth and gently, with circular motion, rub it all over your bag. If your bag is stained and you don’t know what to do. Take it to a professional leather cleaner.
- If you notice your handbag is dry, use a leather conditioner to hydrate the leather. Use as directed and in circular motions without rubbing too much against surface. If you don’t have a leather conditioner, you can use a hydrating cream that has no color or perfume and use it as well. Gently rub in circular motion with a cotton pad (use very little cream and test on a small spot first).
- Do not use any product on the metal hardware since this could react with the metal finish and damage your product.
- Avoid sharp objects. Leather is a very delicate material and can get scratched easily (even with your nails!).
- When in doubt, ask us! We love to hear from our customers. If you aren’t sure about the care of your handbag, reach out to us at info@leanelle.com.

Vegan leather bags:

Vegan leather bags aren’t as picky as leather bags, but will not last as long as leather does. Vegan leather is made of 100% polyurethane, which is a plastic. It’s a very strong flexible material and has a really good elasticity. When caring for your vegan leather bag you must follow the following:

- Store your bag in a dustbag when not in use.
- Make sure there is no direct sunlight, since it could damage your bag.
- Avoid really hot places. Plastic and hot aren’t a match!
- If you stain your bag just wipe it with a wet wipe.
- If your bag gets wet because of the rain, let it dry and voila: like new!
- Avoid sharp objects! Unlike leather, vegan leather is not as delicate on the surface. But like any other material, a sharp or metal object rubbing it can damage and eventually break it.
- Do not use any product on the metal hardware since this could react with the metal finish and damage your product.
- When in doubt, ask us! We are here to help you. Just email us at info@leanelle.com
